Before Leicester City play a second leg semi-final versus Aston Villa, there is the matter of an FA Cup fourth round tie at Brentford.

This season is going very well for the Foxes: third in the Premier League, a Carabao Cup semi-final and moving forward in the FA Cup. Yes, it is only the fourth round but us Blue Army members crave a cup final. European qualification here we come!

Leicester have never won the FA Cup. It is as illusive as it is desired on Filbert Way. If you read the comments from older supporters especially, there is a glamour, allure and special element to it. Though the East Midlanders have won the League Cup on three occasions, most recently in 2000.

FA Cup fourth round for Leicester City

Griffin Park is Leicester’s destination this weekend, Brentford presently sit fifth in the Championship and are not to be underestimated. Former Liverpool defender and current BBC Sport pundit, Mark Lawrenson, sent Brendan Rodgers a warning over making wholesale changes to his side. Mentioning Bees goalscorer Ollie Watkins, Lawrenson believes it will be a tough test for the Foxes, per Leicester Mercury.

Starting XI

Rodgers made many alterations to his team that beat West Ham United. This is the starting line-up and substitutes:

Danny Ward; James Justin, Wes Morgan (captain), Caglar Soyuncu, Christian Fuchs; Demarai Gray, Dennis Praet, Hamza Choudhury, Marc Albrighton; Ayoze Perez; Kelechi Iheanacho.

Substitutes: Kasper Schmeichel, Ricardo Pereira, Jonny Evans, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Youri Tielemans, James Maddison and Harvey Barnes.

Trending. Youri Tielemans knows he wasn’t at his best – a fine quality. light

All in all, this is very close to Foxes of Leicester’s predicted side; Dewsbury-Hall has been described as a classy, future star midfielder. It’ll be very interesting to see his quality. We are very reassured, despite lots of swapping, that there are some assured first team members on the bench.
