Leicester vs. Chelsea: Expected Foxes starting XI

Leicester City entertain Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday, February 1. After being beaten by Aston Villa, the Foxes will want an upturn in form.

While Leicester City sit in third position  directly behind Liverpool and Manchester City in 2019/20’s Premier League campaign, Chelsea have their eyes on the Foxes’ current spot.

Frank Lampard’s team are fourth but inconsistent this term; whilst that term can be applied to Leicester as well, they have actually overachieved in a transitional period. Partly due to an exceptional manager and the roster of young, hungry players. Saturday’s clash will be an intriguing and potentially decisive one in the race for the top-three, or, even, top-two – with the Citizens uneven also.

Additionally, Leicester are set to announce the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers centre-back Ryan Bennett. Bennett is a ball player, tough tackler and will presumably be an understudy to Caglar Soyuncu along with Jonny Evans.

Unfortunately, some Leicester fans were disappointed at the prospect of not signing a winger. That is despite Ayoze Perez being nominated for the premiership’s Player of the Month award and Harvey Barnes’ displays have improved somewhat.
