Chelsea are reportedly getting closer to signing Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell, according to 90min.

Manchester City and Chelsea have both held an interest in the England international for over a season, but Leicester have been able to hold on to him.

But it seems that Brendan Rodgers may let him leave at last, with his eyes set on Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney. Yes, you read that right.

Since his £25 million arrival in England, the former Celtic star has mostly been in the treatment room and that could be why the Gunners could move on right away.

Having previously worked with the Scotsman, Rodgers knows Tierney well and can bring the very best out of him, as he did back in his days at Celtic Park.

It is reported that the Leicester boss is willing to pay £25 million for the 22-year old, which would represent some very good bit of business, seeing as it is only a quarter of what the Foxes are expected to land for Chilwell from the Blues.

Rodgers, however, should be wary of Tierney’s injury record before he makes any decision. Since the start of the 2016/17 season, he has missed 76 games in all competitions – including 58 since the last season.

There is no doubt about the fact that Tierney is a cracking player. There have been glimpses of his ability in North London, too, whenever he has been fit.

If he does continue to spend as much time on the sidelines, though, then Leicester would have a big problem on their hands.
