3 Players Leicester should sell in the summer
Daniel Amartey
Daniel Amartey, where to begin? The Ghanaian is another Leicester City squad athlete with a pleasant disposition, who always has time for the fans. You won’t see Amartey training, playing or featuring in photographs without a smile on his face.
However, those facts aren’t tangible when you’re talking about on-pitch, in-your-face, elite sport – the premiership provides just that in terms of being the best league in the world. And we at FoL just don’t think Amartey has the skill set in either of his auxiliary positions.
It is definitely true that all teams, especially those in European competition, need committed, trustworthy and responsive personnel around them. Even players who are never going to get anywhere near close to the first XI.
Whether it is in a protective, centre-midfield spot or as a right-back, in our opinion, Amartey has proved that he is a little out of his depth at this level. FoL recommends signing a similar utility player with decent CL experience, if possible. Splashing a bit if cash is a necessity to maintain this strong Foxes stature.
Next up for Leicester City is Manchester City at King Power Stadium. At present the Citizens are above their rivals for second place in the top-flight; it will be a hard-fought match. In which we are predicting goals galore: a thrilling 3-2 victory for the Foxes.
