Brendan Rodgers conducted a pre-match press conference on Thursday, with Leicester City facing Manchester City on Saturday in an important Premier League clash.

Pep Guardiola’s Man City are back on the uptick with a 2-0 defeat of West Ham United on Wednesday. Confidence and supremacy seemed oozing once again; yet title rivals Liverpool are set to dominate the English top-flight in the coming years.

In fact the Citizens’ two-year European ban may set them further behind the Reds of Merseyside. However, this may make last season’s champions even more determined on the pitch – so Leicester beware.

Now, we all know there is a problem for the Foxes at present: Wilfred Ndidi is injured after possibly being allowed to rush back too soon. Interestingly, Matty James is now available for selection.

While Hamza Choudhury has picked up a suspension for a dismissal versus Wolverhampton Wanderers. Frenchman Papy Mendy remains sidelined through injury, as well.

Having no fit, senior defensive-midfielders means Leicester manger Brendan Rodgers could be forced to alleviate this issue by playing with three centre-backs. Therefore new man Ryan Bennett, on loan from Wolves, might be in line to begin the contest for his debut.
