Norwich vs. Leicester: Predicted Foxes XI
Premier League strugglers Norwich City welcome Leicester City to their Carrow Road ground for an important clash. Can the Foxes all but relegate the Canaries?
Leicester City’s recent form is poor: five points in six Premier League matches is disappointing to say the least. Although Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers’ project is a work in progress, it’d be almost disastrous to relinquish Champions League qualification at this point.
Though the Leicester supporters and many observers know all to well just how good a job the Northern Irishman has done. This week will hopefully mean a return to winning ways as the East Midlanders venture to Norwich.
The Canaries are rock bottom of the division – a dead cert for relegation to be honest. Defeat on Friday all but guarantees them dropping down to the Championship next season. Rodgers will not want his players to ruin an opportunity for a win, therefore his team selection must be spot on.
Hamza Choudhury back for Leicester City
Thankfully Hamza Choudhury is back from suspension for this match; and even more encouraging is the fact that midfield linchpin Wilfred Ndidi is training again and may even be fit to play some form of role in Norwich. Yet it is more likely that the Nigerian will be a substitute. Read more at lcfc.com on that issue.
Predicted Foxes XI
In all honesty Leicester should revert to the 4-3-3, with Choudhury replacing Christian Fuchs but of course relocating to defensive-midfield. Foxes of Leicester also expect Harvey Barnes and Ayoze Perez to return to the starting team. See our expected XI below:
Kasper Schmeichel; Ricardo Pereira, Jonny Evans, Caglar Soyuncu, Ben Chilwell; Choudhury, Youri Tielemans, James Maddison; Barnes, Perez; and Jamie Vardy.
