If Manchester City are targeting this Leicester City defender, then Leicester City should probably be worried. The Foxes also need to identify a replacement.

Third in the Premier League; an upcoming FA Cup quarter-final appearance; Champions League football on the horizon or at least a realistic scenario – if Leicester City manage to play to their abilities. Yep, things are looking prosperous for the Foxes.

The only way they can really ruin their prospects now, is by their own hands. Well, feet. Anyway, another situation which could see the European dream dampening would be if some, or all of the star players on Filbert Way were to leave.

Obviously a club’s most vital athletes are more likely to remain if the aspirations – Leicester’s are particularly ambitious and lucrative – are achieved. Additionally, it will make transferring in better, more experienced signings easier with those expectations realised.

Manchester City eye Leicester City’s Caglar Soyuncu

Apparently Manchester City are targeting Leicester City’s breakout centre-back Caglar Soyuncu for a summer raid. That is if you believe Express.

It is no surprise that teams of the Citizens’ stature are eyeing up the Foxes defender: the Turk has been a revelation since Harry Maguire’s departure for Manchester United. Even surpassing the England international’s influence.

On the other hand Pep Guardiola’s failure to strengthen his defence has caused his side to, almost certainly, relinquish their premiership title. If a realistic bid materializes for Soyuncu hopefully CL football with Brendan Rodgers’ outfit in 2020/21 will convince the 23-year-old to stay.

However, the lure of Guardiola can prove strong, as Leicester supporters have previously witnessed.
