James Justin deserves to keep his place in Leicester side
James Justin shouldn’t automatically lose his place at left-back for Leicester City, even if a fully fit Ben Chilwell returns for Watford match.
What a game – 4-0 against a rival at home, under the lights. That victory won’t be forgotten in a hurry. Leicester City supporters won’t let the Aston Villa fans forget it anyway, especially judging by the Twitter banter that emerged and developed.
In all seriousness the Foxes are now masters of their own destiny; while the Villans now face an uphill struggle to avoid the dreaded drop back down to the Championship. The Premier League run-in is sure to be very exciting.
Top Leicester City performers
A few eyebrows were raised when the Leicester line-up was announced an hour prior to kickoff. Marc Albrighton beginning the clash was mildly surprising, as he has been well out-of-favour during Brendan Rodgers’ tenure.
However, it was right time and the correct choice of player for the role. Albrighton did a great job doubling up on Jack Grealish with the always impressive Ricardo Pereira.
Not to mention the former Villa man’s attacking prowess; crossing innovativeness; and, of course, his two fine assists. He’ll likely begin the next game for the King Power side versus Watford; Ayoze Perez hasn’t been consistent enough to cement the role as his own.
James Justin should remain in XI
Another player who deserves to retain his starting place in the team is James Justin. He was magnificent going forward, as well as being sturdy at the back. He gave away too many simple passes, though that was his only shortcoming. Statistically Justin gave an immense display, leading some categories on WhoScored.
Besides Justin’s devastating pace and penetrating runs in behind the defensive line, in keeping with the modern full-back, he is adept at reading the opposition, too. A fit Ben Chilwell shouldn’t simply walk back into the team, similarly to another star Fox Youri Tielemans – justifiably losing out to compatriot Dennis Praet currently.
