Leicester City supporters, and well, everyone really, need some good news – thankfully us Foxes have it from star player Ricardo Pereira.

We wait. We wait for life to return to normal. Let alone wishing sport, professional or with friends, to come back into our lives. Lockdown is taking over, but spirits must be kept high. Please therefore look after each other. There’s little good news around at the moment so this update from Leicester City fan favourite Ricardo Pereira is absolutely great.

Ricardo is one of the best, along with most valuable players in the Leicester City squad. We’re sure you’ll agree. He’s also one of the friendlier and most approachable in the Premier League. Not that any of the team are ignorant, at all. They are mainly very happy to mix with the faithful on social media, in person or with gifts and autographs at games.

That being said, the Portuguese defender is an exceptional talent on a personable and professional level. In all honesty, it may be difficult for the King Power club to keep the right-back: incredibly large, famous and commanding sides like Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in acquiring his services.

Hopefully Ricardo will be retained at Leicester and will also recover from his recent, significant injury. A challenge with Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish caused the Fox to have a knee ligament injury which will see him sidelined for an expected six months.

Good news for Leicester City

Thankfully Ricardo has just confirmed that his surgery for the issue was a success, as well as stating his upbeat mood whilst smiling. Lovely stuff. The 26-year-old spoke via his Instagram and Twitter accounts to let fans know the superb news.

The Lisbon-born defensive man was Leicester’s Player of the Season in 2018/19, and rightfully so. Before he was hurt recently, he was definitely in with a chance for this term’s prize, also. Get well soon, Ricky P.
