Leicester City winger Bartosz Kapustka wants out this summer.

Having arrived from Cracovia as a very highly-rated prospect all the way back in 2016, the £2 million-man has barely stepped on the pitch in Leicester colours.

He has only made three appearances for the Foxes, all of which came in debut season. Since then, he has had loan spells at Freiburg and Leicester’s sister club, OH Leuven.

The latter particularly proved to be a disaster as Kapustka suffered a knee injury, and despite recovering and featuring for the U-23s, he could not make Brendan Rodgers’ 25-man squad for the second-half of the Premier League season.

The 23-year old is now pretty sure that he is not going to make the grade at the King Power Stadium. He therefore wants to leave for better opportunities elsewhere.

Speaking to Polish radio station Weszlo FM, he said:

"“I must admit that after this season in the summer I have to leave Leicester, I have to leave England and I am convinced of that.“I would love to change something, start a new adventure and I think I am prepared for such a step. You have to get back on track.”"

Let’s be honest here: how many of us actually even knew that Kapustka was still at Leicester? Not many, which is a damning indictment of his time at the club.

There is no lack of those who rate him either. There is definite potential but given the fact that Rodgers did not name him in his squad, you would think that it is a sign of what is to come.

It is in his best interests, too. He is still young and has plenty of time to resurrect his career under a manager who has full faith in his ability. Sad that he could not do it at Leicester, though.
