Leicester City club captain and title-winner Wes Morgan amusingly explains what happened and why at Jamie Vardy’s infamous house party.

Is it really nearly four years ago since Leicester City were named as Premier League champions?! Apparently so. We have all seen it popup on our timelines on social media: the ‘anniversary’ of Eden Hazard’s notorious equaliser for Chelsea against then second placed Tottenham Hotspur.

Consequently the Foxes were title-winners; eventually triumphant with an astoundingly impressive 10-point margin. Spurs typically floundered into third, never really sustaining a serious run at the top of the league.

When Hazard’s fabled finish hit the net it was pandemonium at Jamie Vardy’s house party, held in hopeful honour of the eventual outcome. Then when the referee blew the final whistle – the Blues and the Lilywhites had drawn 2-2 – giving Leicester the cup, all hell, or heaven, broke loose at the Vardy residence.

Some names such as Filbert Way cult hero Marcin Wasilewski are no longer at Leicester City, though their association will never die. The old-fashioned Polish centre-half was a real tank at the back. Not many premiership strikers came out of a battle with “Wasyl” – as he known to his adoring fans – without some war damage.

Morgan recently told lcfc.com about the ‘Vardy Party’ on that famous evening. The Jamaican said it was Wasilewski who amusingly dragged him around in celebration by the ankles in wild spontaneous celebration.

light. Hot. Revelation about Jamie Vardy may slightly shock you

The centre-back also told the club’s official website that the only explanation he can offer for the night’s shenanigans is that the squad collectively, humorously “lost their minds”. Morgan says he’ll never forget the incredible achievement and loves to be reminded of the season. Not to mention the “amazing” party, for which Wasyl is to blame. Great times!
