Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has spoken about his Leicester City future, amid transfer rumours concerning him, Manchester United and Arsenal.

As us Leicester City supporters enter the seventh week without football, we will encounter more transfer speculation as summer approaches. Everyone knows that the Foxes have began to build a Champions League standard squad – but will they manage to retain their prized assets? Let’s investigate the latest claim.

Wilfred Ndidi is key at Leicester City

It is no secret that Wilfred Ndidi is one of the most instrumental players on Filbert Way. That is indisputable. What is up for debate is nominating the most crucial man in the team. Since Brendan Rodgers became the Nigerian’s boss, we’ve seen improvements and refinement even in Ndidi’s weakest area: simple passing and ball retention.

Therefore it feels as though keeping the defensive-minded midfielder is the most vital aspect of Leicester’s off-season. Or for the remainder of season – whenever or however this campaign plays out and the subsequent one begins.

Interest in Ndidi

Predictably, the media has begun linking elite football clubs as desiring the services of the Leicester City athlete. Manchester United have been mentioned regularly as admirers; many of their fans have called for the signing on social media. We all know the Red Army is certainly listened to at Old Trafford.

United obviously have one of the most eminent reputations in the game; along with having an undeniable draw – which bodes poorly for Ndidi remaining a Fox. However, the Red Devils currently employ the impressive Scott McTominay as well as Nemanja Matić. Consequently, recruiting the former isn’t necessary.
