Leicester City midfielder James Maddison has dropped yet another hint on his future, stating that he is staying and is happy where he is.

The exciting playmaker has been linked with Manchester United and Real Madrid, with the rumours fuelled further by the fact that he has not signed a new deal with Leicester yet.

But having recently said that he feels at home at the King Power Stadium, the 22-year old has reiterated that he wants to stay at Leicester.

Speaking to a Leicester fan on a call arranged by BT Sport, he said what the Foxes faithful have been wanting to hear all this time.

"“Of course I am. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made, coming here. I love it,” he said when asked if he’s staying."

Although we would want to be jumping for joy and be really happy that he is not going anywhere, we also have to keep in mind that he has “not” signed an extension as of now.

Until he does that, it is difficult to say what will become of this situation as when the transfer window opens.

United have been after him for a very long time and usually, when they are interested in a player, that too someone as talented as the 23-year old, they do get him.

They did it with Harry Maguire, too. Not to forget, the England international did, like Maddison, state that Leicester’s an “exciting club to be at” etc.; however, when the right offer came in, he left.

Next. Wilfred Ndidi won’t be leaving Leicester this summer. dark

So do not be shocked if Maddison leaves. After all, this is football, and words here do not always match actions.
