Leicester’s asking price for Ben Chilwell lower than reported
We’ve all heard nothing but talk of an imminent transfer for Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell. That scenario may be edging closer due to a high estimate.
Chelsea are obviously targeting Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell this summer: trust me – every national newspaper is carrying the story so it is true. However, every report slightly differs in rumour substance than the previous one.
Therefore, we know that some of the elements reported are false: the ridiculously exorbitant £85 million price-tag being one of them. Although, even some of the more fanciful aspects are explainable; in some cases they even give birth to the unbelievable parts.
What I mean by this is simple: in Telegraph‘s piece by John Percy on Friday is the claim that the left-back is not for sale. Yet the outlet also states that a huge bid, prospectively amounting to a ‘Harry Maguire-esque offer’ would indeed secure acceptance from the King Power club. Hence the “85” emerges.
Leicester City’s valuation revealed
Meanwhile over at the Guardian, who suggest that the 23-year-old is Frank Lampard’s No.1 Blues target, they believe the asking price is much lower than previously supposed. Whilst also regarding Chelsea’s valuation as conflicting with Leicester City’s: meaning that the Pensioners definitely wouldn’t pay anything like £85m.
In fact, the media company says the East Midlands side will demand at least £60m for their prized defender. While Lampard’s team will only apparently offer £45m. The Guardian also declares that the Foxes are willing to ‘sell one star player‘ before next season.
