Just as other apparent Leicester City transfer targets end up elsewhere, it is unlikely that the Foxes will secure Odsonne Edouard’s signature, either.

If Foxes of Leicester had to rate the importance of necessary signings at Leicester City, with regards to specific roles, it’d be fairly difficult reading for the Blue Army. That is because nothing is happening on the recruitment front.

Forgive me, but here goes: buying a proven, quality left-footed right-winger is absolutely crucial for Leicester City. Then the club arguably need a world-class left-back to replace Ben Chilwell; another talented understudy striker to ease Jamie Vardy’s workload is also needed; and finally, a new centre-back to ensure that Wes Morgan doesn’t play, respectively. Not to mention providing cover for Jonny Evans, Caglar Soyuncu as well as unknown quantify, Filip Benkovic.

Leicester City probably won’t sign this player

Daily Mail reported on Sunday that Celtic will demand a fee of £40 million for their striker Odsonne Edouard. This is partly due to owing the Frenchman’s former club, Paris Saint-Germain, 40 per cent through a sell on clause.

As this quoted pricetag is apparently twice the reported budget the East Midlands side have to spend on players, FoL is determining that Edouard will not become a Fox this summer.
