While Leicester City have announced the signing of versatile full-back, Timothy Castagne, one potential incoming may play out-of-position for the Foxes.

While there are a few options for left-back currently at Leicester City – Academy graduate Luke Thomas, former Austria captain Christian Fuchs, along with one-time Luton Town man, James Justin – new signing Timothy Castagne can be added to that list as he plays on either side of the defence.

Just as Justin’s versatility equals ambidexterity employed higher on flanks, Castagne also supplies that necessary utility presence.

There are also a host of potential left-sided full-backs that the Foxes have been linked with: Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico, Atalanta’s Robin Gosens and Norwich’s Jamal Lewis to name but a few of them.

Whilst it won’t surprise the King Power side’s support to hear that the club is still connected to Burnley winger Dwight McNeil through speculation, the capacity he might be used on Filbert Way may actually shock the Blue Army.

According to football analyst specialists Four Four Two, the highly-rated 20 year old, prospective signing could be deployed as a left-back for City.
