Hopefully Leicester City will sign a winger and possibly another striker before the start of the season. With a centre-back also a priority, would Wesley Fofana be satisfactory?

Following the first and solitary incoming Leicester City transfer of the campaign in Belgium international Timothy Castagne, it is claimed that the Foxes will approach Bournemouth winger David Brooks in the immediate future. But has another role overtaken the search for a proficient wingman?

Leicester City aiming for youthful defender

With defensive leader Jonny Evans suffering a combination of suspension and injury, and Filip Benkovic considered unqualified as well as being unfit, Leicester urgently require options at the back.

Recent links with Burnley’s Englishman, James Tarkowski, seem to be futile: the Clarets have slapped a £50 million pricetag on their asset, therefore Brendan Rodgers’ Recruitment department won’t bid again.

However, now the East Midlands side are apparently pondering a bid of £20m for Saint Etienne starlet, Wesley Fofana. Rodgers’ team will have to supposedly beat competition from AC Milan and Everton for the Frenchmen’s signature.

Hot. Foxes in for Brazilian international. light

The first Premier League encounter for Leicester is away at Midlands rivals West Bromwich Albion. In addition to what FoL stated earlier, the now desperate need for a centre-back will be illumination against the Baggies on Sunday. Placing Wilfred Ndidi into defence is seen as unsatisfactory by many fans: not due to the expected versatile prowess of the Nigerian but because of the worrying and upsetting lack of even back-up signings.
