Arsenal have some injury worries prior to the Carabao Cup Third Round match against Leicester City. While both managers are expected to rotate their XIs.

Before City’s Carabao Cup Third Round contest on Wednesday evening, Foxes of Leicester have scoured the internet for clues to Arsenal’s starting eleven.

Media reports suggest Kieran Tierney is a minor doubt for the game. Though Mikel Arteta will likely make wholesale changes to the team, anyway.

Shkodran Mustafi, Emile Smith Rowe, Gabriel Martinelli, Calum Chambers and Pablo Mari are definitely not fit. Another outlet claims Sokratis and Cedric Soares are also out of the cup clash.

Expected Arsenal XI for Leicester City meeting

This is the team that the Evening Standard suggests Arteta will select; accompanied by Foxes of Leicester’s annotations: Runar Alex Runarsson – the recently signed Icelandic goalkeeper should debutise – William Saliba – many thought he’d make a Premier League appearance against Fulham but will almost certainly start here.

Next is David Luiz, then Sead Kolasinac, Soares – as we know he’s probably unavailable so Ainsley Maitland-Niles is an option.

Mohamed Elneny, Joe Willock, Bukayo Saka; Nicolas Pepe – the out-of-form and favour winger could be a thorn in Leicester’s side – Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson.

In other Premier League news, the government have ‘paused’ the process of allowing fans back into stadiums for matches. EPL bosses are quoted as being “disappointed” by the decision. According to speculation, it could be up to six months before supporters are permitted into stadia, even in small numbers.
