West Ham United have apparently made an attractive bid for Saint-Etienne defender, Wesley Fofana, who is also a centre-back target for Leicester City.

All summer, Foxes of Leicester have championed what we would describe as a mandatory centre-back signing for Leicester City. Whether that ends up being Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah or James Tarkowski of Burnley, doesn’t matter that much to us.

In fact, the defender the Foxes have been most frequently and seemingly feasibly linked with is Saint-Etienne man, Wesley Fofana. The 19 year old would arguably be the best prospective incoming transfer of the mentioned trio.

Fofana’s young age, height, strength and game reading is complemented by rave reviews this season and some for last term. Brendan Rodgers is said to believe he can mould the starlet into a great Premier League footballer.

If the King Power club cannot agree a deal with St. Etienne during this window, the player’s price will likely rise exponentially before the next opportunity in January, and especially by July.

West Ham make offer for Leicester City target

Sky Sports claim West Ham United have made a decent offer – eclipsing Leicester’s apparent bids – for the Frenchman. £33 million is the quoted amount; while Leicester are thought to have now gone up to £29m.
