Leicester have apparently agreed a fee to sign Wesley Fofana
Multiple reports suggest Leicester City have finally agreed a fee with Saint-Etienne to sign centre-back starlet Wesley Fofana.
Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has made it clear that a centre-back is wanted by the club during this transfer window. Opportunities are naturally becoming less prevalent as we enter the end stage of the market, until it reopens in January.
Foxes of Leicester would suggest that if a new, proficient centre-half does arrive at King Power Stadium this off-season combining with the brilliant Timothy Castagne and Cengiz Under – it will have been a superb recruitment period.
In addition, the reemergence of apparently capable understudies such as Daniel Amartey also bolster the team. When considering the fact that peripheral players have yet to be added to the squad.
Have Leicester City agreed Wesley Fofana fee?
With regards to a central defender, multiple reports claim Leicester have now agreed a price with Saint-Etienne for their starlet Wesley Fofana. Fofana is known to want a transfer to the Foxes.
As you can see above, trusted Leicester correspondent Rob Tanner, who works for The Athletic, says the deal looks “positive”, along with €35 million being the “initial figure”.
Contradicting this report is other media ‘news’ that the Foxes have also set a price with Burnley of around £37 million for England international James Tarkowski. FoL is obviously under the impression only one of these two options will actually be purchased. Especially taking into account the lesser transfer budget afforded to Rodgers this summer.
