Leicester City’s search for a quality centre-back to slot straight into the team seems to be over. James Tarkowski is reportedly an imminent signing.

Well Foxes, you’ll have to head over to our verified Twitter account or our Facebook page to inform us of your opinions on this latest huge development. Leicester City will reportedly sign Burnley’s James Tarkowski this week. That is what trusted outlet The Telegraph claims.

Brendan Rodgers has certainly had a centre-back on his wishlist this off-season, he’s confirmed as much. Actually, the club had already tried to secure Tarkowski last January, but a £30 million bid was rejected. Therefore the England defender is undoubtedly wanted by the Foxes.

Latest Leicester City transfer news

Leicester are hopeful of having international clearance completed for new loan capture Cengiz Under by the time West Ham United visit this weekend. Under will more than likely begin his career as a substitute.

Elsewhere, as previously mentioned, it appears as though City could finally obtain another target. The centre-half is arguably wasted at Burnley: stability equals more than progress or ambition at Turf Moor. And one can’t really blame them for that or criticise their grab for as much profit from players as possible.

Apparently Tarkowski will join the East Midlands side for around £37m; a fee that the Clarets hierarchy is obviously now willing to accept.
