3 players who are set to leave Leicester this transfer window
These Leicester City players are set to leave the King Power club in this transfer window. With only couple of days remaining, it’s sure to be a hectic time.
Hello and welcome to another Foxes of Leicester transfer roundup. On this occasion we are explaining news and rumours of three Leicester City players’ apparent imminent exits.
The Foxes have made three excellent signings this off-season: Turkish internal Cengiz Under; Belgium’s Timothy Castagne; along with the addition of French defender Wesley Fofana.
Adrien Silva
It is about time this debacle was put up an end! 14 seconds now feels like 14 years – how must his ridiculous period actually feel to Adrien Silva and his family?
Leicester – who have a great overall track record – have never mishandled an important matter such as buying Silva; maybe no other Premier League side will ever match the incompetence exhibited. Thankfully for the faithful and the midfielder, he’s almost certainly moving to Italian outfit Sampdoria.
Demarai Gray
Demarai Gray is another whose tenure with the Foxes has been troubled, but more because of a lack of productivity.
All the talent in the world won’t enable you to succeed if you’re nervous of failure, have no focus or desire to have a notable, elite career. Tottenham Hotspur, Leeds United and unnamed German teams are said to be interested.
Islam Slimani
Algerian striker Islam Slimani never quite made his name as a Leicester player. He, like Gray, scored some important and momentous goals.
Yet Rodgers and the fans seem to consider him inadequate; West Bromwich Albion are keen.
Elsewhere in Filbert Way updates, it was refreshing and satisfying to see England and EPL legend, Alan Shearer, select the underappreciated and underrated Papy Mendy in his premiership Team of The Week. Jamie Vardy was also chosen for the line-up after a flying start to the season, which includes a hat-trick at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium.
