Foxes of Leicester compiles what we believe is Leicester City’s best possible line-up with their new signings, since the EPL transfer window closed.

There are international footballers galore at Leicester City, presently. It is a truly special time to be a Foxes fan. The evolution of club status, staff calibre and squad prowess was clearly evident for all football fans to witnessed. Although the development and improvement of the roster is eternal.

However, it is crucial for the starting eleven to find stability and excellence, something which seems closer than expected pre-2020/21. While ignoring the disheartening, freak loss to West Ham United, the Leicester side – without Ricardo Pereira and James Maddison fully fit all season – is already shaping up well.

New signings have now possibly filled gaps which consequently elevates Brendan Rodgers‘ team to contender for top-six continuity.

Best Leicester City XI

Okay, so we are going to disregard injuries and anything else for this best contemporary Leicester line-up – here goes:

Kasper Schmeichel; Ricardo, Caglar Soyuncu, Jonny Evans, Timothy Castagne; Wilfred Ndidi, Maddison, Youri Tielemans/Dennis Praet; Cengiz Under, Harvey Barnes; Jamie Vardy.

I honestly cannot decide between fellow countrymen Tielemans and Praet for a starting place. Though what a brilliant but perplexing position for Rodgers to be in, with regards to having a good problem in selecting one or the other international athlete.

Under is the only player yet to be judged fairly, therefore he is an optimistic choice for the XI.

After the break and the internationals have returned to Leicester training, the games will be steady and testing for the Foxes. Firstly there’s a tough contest versus Midlands rivals Aston Villa in the Premier League. Subsequently, it’s FC Zorya Luhansk and AEK Athens in Europa League matches. Then promotion side Leeds United away, followed by Braga in Europe and Liverpool at King Power Stadium in the EPL. Challenging, indeed.
