In a recent pre-match press conference, Brendan Rodgers was asked about forward Ayoze Perez’s Leicester City status. Who has only played 280 minutes of Premier League football this season.

Ayoze Perez’s time on Filbert Way has drawn mixed reviews. While it is fair to suggest that the Leicester supporters have taken to the easy going manner of the attacker, his similarly laid back approach in games often receives unfairly maligned assessments post match. And, to be honest, the points are valid, just over the top. That’s Twitter for ya.

This season is his sophomore year, unlike his relatively success maiden campaign, Perez hasn’t really had a look in. Only featuring for 280 minutes for the Foxes overall in the Premier League speaks volumes. Essentially, the Northern  Irishman doesn’t particularly see the Spaniard in his plans.

Here is what the boss said about the former-Newcastle United man:

"“I always communicate with the players and he’s [Perez’s] been working hard in training. But he knows the team has been playing well. When opportunities come, he’ll be ready to take them. He hasn’t sulked. His attitude and commitment has been first class.”Via Jordan Blackwell at Leicestershire Live"

Leicester City’s Fulham clash

Most onlookers will consider Leicester’s next opponents pushovers, but Fulham should be respected like any other team. Scott Parker’s men will be clawing for a point or more, so rotation on a grand scale from Rodgers would be severely ill-advised.

Must Read. Ideal Foxes replacement available soon. light

Jamie Vardy is likely to lead the line for the Foxes; while you can expect to see the usual spine of Kasper Schmeichel, Jonny Evans and Youri Tielemans involved, regardless of the Cottagers’ awful form. The manager will also hopefully welcome back Wilfred Ndidi, Ricardo Pereira and Caglar Soyuncu for the Europa League contest in Ukraine versus Zorya Luhansk on Thursday.
