James Justin– 8

The youngster keeps getting better as the people he deputises for are making returns. This time he was deployed as a centre back, but given the freedom to attack down the flanks. The fact that Son didn’t have a single chance shows how well he played and his pass for James Maddison’s pathetically disallowed goal was sublime. It’s looking like Leicester City have three incredible full backs on their cards.

Wesley Fofana– 7

Little Wes was dominant at the back, this time in the middle of the central defenders. This kid just gets better, and was also a massive threat on set pieces which is something they desperately need.

Jonny Evans– 6

The fact that you can’t really explain what the returning Jonny Evans did this match is testament to how well City executed Rodger’s game plan. Whilst he might have his odd shaky game there is no doubt the Northern Irishman gives this defence some much needed experience and calmness.

Timothy Castagne– 6

It was a very steady game for the returning Belgian, particularly as most of the play was on the opposite side, but it’s great to see him back and there will certainly be better games from him.
