Leicester injuries: when Jamie Vardy and Wilfred Ndidi will play
Brendan Rodgers provides Leicester City injury updates on striker Jamie Vardy and midfielder Wilfred Ndidi and when they will play again for the Foxes.
Revenge was extracted by Rodgers’ men at Craven Cottage on Wednesday evening, after the Whites defeated Leicester 2-1 in late November. Ademola Lookman and
Ivan Cavaleiro did the damage for Fulham at King Power Stadium.
Though in the reserve fixture, the Premier League’s third placed team were dominant with and without the ball; James Maddison was particularly instrumental as he made two assists. While 2020/21 revelation James Justin scored a fine goal.
Happily, a rejuvenation has seemingly occurred for Kelechi Iheanacho as he netted – hopefully increasing his confidence. However, the Nigerian is still unlikely to feature for a prolonged period, for reasons I’m about to outline.
When will Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy, Wilfred Ndidi return?
Thankfully Foxes of Leicester can now provide you with some excellent news: midfield general, Wilfried Ndidi, and striker extraordinaire, Jamie Vardy, will be fit to face Midlands rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers in English top-flight action this coming weekend.
"Brendan Rodgers, in his post match press conference, says he is “very confident” that Jamie Vardy and Wilfried Ndidi will be involved for the game against Wolves at the weekend.“I spoke to the medical team today, and they’ve been working outside really well.”– Brendan RodgersVia BBC Sport"
Transfers out
If you don’t know this already – which I’m sure you do – Leicester did not sign one player during the January transfer window. Neither on a temporary basis or permanently. Although they did sell Islam Slimani and Demarai Gray – finally!
While the Foxes allowed these athletes to leave on loan: Filip Benkovic, Admiral Muskwe, Daniel Iversen, Matty James, Darnell Johnson and Callum Wright. This is usually done with personnel whom the manager sees as potential future first team members, but need competitive football to gauge that possibility.
