Leicester City supporters will be delighted to learn that the Foxes plan to reward a star with a new contract. Youri Tielemans has been great this season.

Nobody will be surprised when the string-pulling Fox puts pen-to-paper on a new deal. This campaign Tielemans managed to revive the play he exhibited in 2019 whilst on loan to Leicester from AS Monaco, in French Ligue 1.

Happily, that move was made permanent over the subsequent summer with the Belgian international becoming an instant hit. Being a £40 million man surely isn’t easy; it is fair to say Tielemans’ form and output dipped in 2019/20.

Obviously the second part of the previous campaign was difficult for all involved so the midfield maestro can be forgiven for giving some patchy performances. Yet in this term, Tielemans has performed marvellously overall: goals, assists, key passes, even introducing a tenacious tackling side to his already well-rounded repertoire.

Elements of success such as these, in addition to leadership qualities and the manager’s trust as a on-field messenger, are going to lead to two developments: one is the offer of a wage increase which includes an increase in years at the club. Along with the interest of other teams; those outfits could potentially be higher placed in the Premier League or major foreign forces in football.

Leicester City star should sign a new contract

Many media outlets have picked up the suggestion that Tielemans is in line for a pay rise and longer stay on Filbert Way, one quote is below:
