A fresh Liverpool injury concern hands a major boost to Leicester City, before the Foxes’ game against the champions on Saturday.

With Liverpool seemingly catapulted out of the title race by Premier League leaders Manchester City in their last outing, and Leicester fans enduring a lacklustre bore-draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers, this match is set-up to be a classic.

There is, naturally, much on the line here besides the valuable three points: a confidence boost; along with a positive footing to build from once again for the two sides.

In a lift for Brendan Rodgers’ team, opposite number Jurgen Klopp announced that midfielder-turned-defender of late, Fabinho, is unavailable for the King Power clash this weekend. That update is provided by Liverpool Echo.

Obviously the Reds are already without their three main centre-backs: Virgil Van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip.

This means, according to speculation from multiple experts, that new signing Ozan Kabak will make his debut for the Reds. Jamie Vardy must be given the chance to test this makeshift Liverpool defence!

Another Leicester City update

Meanwhile, City forward Vardy has expressed his determination to return to the form he showcased earlier in the EPL campaign. Before being placed under the knife for a hernia operation, the former-England player had already hit a rough scoring patch after missing some action due to another issue.

However, Vardy’s sudden drought in front of goal or slump in quality can surely be attributed to his problems. Obviously the Blue Army will be hoping for a return to usual service; Vardy said himself on Instagram: “Working hard to get back to me.”

Additionally, the No.9 also praised teammate and his personal understudy, Kelechi Iheanacho, who won the FA Cup Fifth Round clash against Brighton & Hove Albion for Leicester with a great header.
