Leicester City are apparently interested in a Bayer Leverkusen defender. Here is FoL’s things to know about Foxes transfer target Jonathan Tah.

Another quality centre-back joining would usually be a desirable addition to any team – yet Leicester are set-up perfectly already, really. Having Jonny Evans, Wesley Fofana and Caglar Soyuncu at once is a fabulous trio of options for Brendan Rodgers.

With the awkward balance of keeping all starter or wannabe stars content within a roster, the Foxes arguably don’t need another name or a high profile player clogging up proceedings or causing issue with selection.

Ordinarily I’d be endorsing a move for apparent €35 million Leicester transfer target Jonathan Tah, as per Team Talk. A measured defender who can compete strength-wise and aerially with any competitor. Tah is often compared to Jerome Boateng, a decent compliment for sure.

Furthermore, if the Foxes were legitimately interested as Evans ages, Tah’s excellent passing range along with tenacious play would suit LCFC.

Leicester City boss on big win

If you were under a rock last weekend – that phrase needs updating to ‘internet-less’ – you may not know that Leicester beat champions Liverpool 3-1 at King Power Stadium. That cemented the Foxes as real contenders for a top four place in the English top-flight. If not a boost for a greater achievement: finishing second in position maybe; you can tell I’m using restraint, here.

Following the excellent comeback victory against the Reds, Brendan Rodgers elaborated on the win over his former side. Speaking to lcfc.com, the Northern Irishman said this:

"“We had a great reaction to going behind. That, a year ago, might have disappointed us, but we kept going. We got the equaliser and then we changed the shape of the team to try and win the game and we came out on the other side of a fantastic performance and win.”– Brendan Rodgers"
