Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy has received the only backing he needs whilst he’s misfiring. Meanwhile, the Foxes support cast got their much deserved praise.

Vardy is the living embodiment of person that should never be written off or underestimated, while of age to continue to ply the mastery of his craft, naturally.

Never shall Leicester fans forget the Englishman’s contributions in winning the Premier League title, as well as helping to transform the club’s mentality, ambition and status.

Nevertheless, the striker is suffering a severe slump in goal involvements; possibly due to a hernia operation that he didn’t have long to recover from.

However, manager Brendan Rodgers says his main man up front is irreplaceable; which is ironic at a time when the side’s recruitment would be wise to be frantically searching for a suitable attacker to eventually succeed the former-England man.

Anyway, the very valid point Rodgers outlined was that Vardy has much more to give – essentially backing the underperforming Fox wholly. Furthermore, the boss confirmed the former still has a “huge” contribution to make, as per Sports Mole.

Leicester City’s underrated stars

In addition to hopefully reassuring the Blue Army about the current Leicester No.9, the gaffer spoke about players on the periphery of headlining who’ve been a huge part of team success in the most trying phase of the Foxes season.

Rodgers is impressed with athletes such as Kelechi Iheanacho, who he claims has

"“a bit of everything. He’s come up trumps in a lot of the games recently, if you think back to Fulham, he scored that important header. His contribution was outstanding.”"

Meanwhile, following Dan Amartey’s winner at American Express Stadium versus Brighton & Hove Albion, the boss said “There’s a lot of young players, a lot of changes, and a lot of attacking players out, but I don’t want to use that as an excuse. We have to find a way to win.” Those quotes are via Leicestershire Live.
