Leicester: Touching gesture from hat-trick hero Kelechi Iheanacho
Leicester City’s hat-trick hero Kelechi Iheanacho dedicated his goals in a touching way after helping his team destroy Sheffield United.
The Foxes began fairly overly methodically in the beginning of the clash with the Blades on Sunday afternoon. Yet the northern English side were eventually put to the sword in stunning fashion.
Evidently Brendan Rodgers intends to have his starting eleven attack at a slower, more infrequent pace. Even seemingly playing for touch as in rugby on occasion or as we see from retro kickoffs that are regressive in the modern form of possession game, ironically championed by individuals such as the Northern Irishman. Who am I to doubt Rodgers?
Clearly the game plan worked, with the King Power outfit learning their opponents’ weaknesses, tiring them out or something as Rodgers’ men were emphatic 5-0 winners as the match ended. Jamie Vardy and Ayoze Perez were instrumental in victory, while another player stole the show.
Leicester City’s hat-trick hero pays emotional tribute
Believe me, there are not many more likeable characters than Iheanacho currently on Filbert Way. Nigeria’s striker bided his time for years in Leicester; playing understudy to Vardy is an invariably futile and thankless job.
Yet, Iheanacho has found his feet for the east Midlanders, finally; a run in the XI and a strike partner appear to have been key to his contemporary success. Every fan of the club was consequently delighted by his three goals and Man of the Match display versus Sheffield Utd.
As you can see above, the 24-year-old made a lovely gesture after the contest by dedicating his initial trio of Premier League finishes to the mothers of the world.
This was an further emotional tribute from the Fox, as his own mother sadly passed away when he was aged just 16.
