Significant Leicester City transfer policy change

In the national and local media’s silly scramble to obtain, sort and publish any major or news worthy material simply in order to sell newspapers or online advertisements through clicks and readership, they occasionally overlook the most significant aspects of managers’ press briefings.

You may have read something in the week with the nonchalant headline “Brendan Rodgers wants Leicester City to end annual summer transfer tradition”. And anyone would be forgiven for ignoring that or thinking it may be insignificant.

In actuality, the aforementioned title could have been something along the lines of ‘Leicester City decision or stance has huge implications’. This is because part of the substance was Brendan Rodgers’ view that the outfit should/will essentially cease to be a ‘selling club’.
