According to a report, Liverpool will supposedly rival fellow Premier League club Leicester City for a transfer target both admire.

Last season, clubs would’ve dreaded learning that the Reds were attempting to lure one of their wanted men to Anfield. Jurgen Klopp and his squad were the toast of the footballing world. Unparalleled, certainly in a domestic capacity; and the Merseysiders lifted the Champions League trophy in 2019 so you get the picture.

However – as with playing the EPL champions presently – right now is the perfect time to challenge them with regards to signings. I mean, they still hold enormous sway and attraction, but Leicester can hopefully capture Odsonne Edouard despite Liverpool’s apparent interest.

Thankfully, The Athletic claims that the Frenchman is one of the King Power side’s ‘top summer transfer targets’. You can listen to those assessments on The Ornstein & Chapman Podcast. Meanwhile, over on The Transfer Window podcast, they confirm Klopp’s outfit being keen on the striker, too.

Foxes of Leicester have a very brief quote to bring to your attention now. 2020/21 signing Timothy Castagne has spoken about his career so far, and the Belgian international appears to be a very organised, thoughtful, as well as focused individual.

Hopefully without unintentionally offending anyone, Castagne sounds rather different to many footballers whom we cover. He talked to Le Soir at the weekend and this is what he said, courtesy of Sport Witness:

"“I’ve been well helped by my entourage. I always made the right choices in my transfers. We never skipped a level by aiming too high. We always made sure to choose teams fitting my style of play. I’m not going to speak too quickly, but for now, my career is flawless”.– Timothy Castagne"
