The approaching transfer window will require a very precise economical disbursement in purchasing much-needed reinforcements for Leicester City.

The financial structure this year is going to be very different in terms of spending the purse. Football clubs have suffered a lot due to the ongoing global pandemic of Covid-19 since the last season.

Throughout this season, spectators were mostly debarred from attending the games resulting in huge losses in the form of ticket sales and other management factors. But even under these harsh circumstances, the transfer market will still be a ruthless place like every year, as no club will make it easy for another club to poach their precious talents to leave without a sustainable hefty sum in return.

Leicester City now needs to plan out a strategy that is able to amplify and transition its way into the expected Champions League football for next season. To do that they will need to add a few good quality players to their squad and that certainly means to let a few players go to manage the expenses.

Leicester City’s defensive midfielder role

Wilfred Ndidi has been Brendan Rodger’s prime choice for the defensive midfielder role. The 24-year-old Nigerian is exceptionally brilliant with his regular performances. He reads the pitch with the ball and channelizes the Foxes’ counter-attacking fluidly by linking the backline to the front in quick motion through his charted territories.
