Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has provided an update on Caglar Soyuncu’s COVID-19 case. Meanwhile, Jamie Vardy has been hailed by a prominent pundit.

On Sunday the Foxes face a more difficult task than some observers would credit: West Ham United are an ambitious, quality club who, like Leicester, are also focused on gaining European qualification for the upcoming campaign.

Whilst Brendan Rodgers is expected to devise another ingenious game plan to triumph in London, I’m here to warn the Blue Army that this is going to be one of the toughest matches of the season so far. Just think back to the Hammers’ victory in Leicestershire earlier in this Premier League term.

And, unfortunately, the Northern Irishman will be without Caglar Soyuncu; he won’t have his latest coronavirus test until the weekend. Even if that has a negative result, he is unavailable until the FA Cup semi-final versus Southampton:

"“We decided to keep him there [Turkey] where he could train and so he wouldn’t have to isolate over here. Hopefully he can rejoin the group next week and be ready for Southampton.”– Brendan RodgersVia Leicestershire Live"

Insight on Leicester City’s ridiculously admired Jamie Vardy

Former Manchester City and Aston Villa man Micah Richards recently heaped praise onto LCFC striker Jamie Vardy. There was an intriguing story from Richards too, as he explained how he pushed Vardy off the ball in a Villans/Foxes battle. But goes on to explain that Vardy had the last laugh, and sly wink, because the Sheffield-born player’s team won on the day.

Additionally, the ex-England defender added that the forward still impresses him even at age-34, due to the Fox’s ‘intelligent runs in behind’. Not to mention the Sky Sports pundit suggesting Vardy, at £1 million, was the second best signing in EPL history; Eric Cantona to Manchester United was Richards’ ultimate switch.
