Leicester and Arsenal set to battle for Italy U-21 midfielder
Leicester City and Arsenal are set to do battle for the signature of Italian midfielder Samuele Ricci. The 19-year-old is currently at Empoli.
Equalling or bettering the supposed ‘big six’ clubs feels more important for the Foxes than ever now. Actually, it even seems like destiny. That is thanks to the obviously Leicester-related decision from those sides’ owners to attempt a coup on European football which would have ruined the English game, at least.
Thankfully the Super League died a death after conception; so attention for LCFC can now focus on continuing disruption of said outfits. And Brendan Rodgers certainly appears to be the ideal manager to continue breaking this apparent dominance of the disgraced teams.
One essential way the east Midlanders can get closer to being in and around the Premier League summit again, is by investing in the correct talent from the transfer market. By the way, I’m not suggesting that winning the English top-flight title is going to happen in the near future, but progress must be maintained at Leicester.
Leicester City, Arsenal to battle for potential signing
Where the Foxes can get ahead of their richer opponents – or have to, as revenue will never be matched in Leicestershire – is naturally finding and quickly securing lesser known, or cheaper, options whom bigger clubs have dismissed. Along with, in a couple of cases, finding disregarded quality.
There are several realistic, contemporary rumours involving possible Leicester acquisitions which can be accessed by clicking the link above directly before the subheading.
One of the connected men is Serie B player, Samuele Ricci. Ricci has caught the eye in his native Italy, causing fans of AC Milan and the like to speculate on, or endorse, his signing for their teams. Irrespective of more huge outfits’ interest, the King Power side are supposedly admirers, along with the Gunners:
"Tuttomercato claim that the Gunners, along with Leicester, are keen on the 19-year-old, who is described as ‘one of the most interesting talents in Italian football’.It is suggested that the two Premier League clubs have already made contact with Ricci’s agent Federico Pastorello.Via Express Sport"
