Leicester City are credited with an interest in signing Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham, yet there is apparently a reason why the Foxes may not get their man.

Tammy Abraham would be a fine acquisition at King Power Stadium. I’ve said that before and I haven’t changed my mind. He is quick enough to do what Jamie Vardy does – I’m not saying definitely as fast or as well – and the skill and ability to replicate some of what Kelechi Iheanacho achieves. Not to mention the height for a potentially devastating aerial presence.

Nevertheless, Leicester won’t be extorted by the Blues for a ridiculously high transfer fee. Nor will the Foxes pay astronomical wages for an, at the moment, up-and-coming player. Though, that being said, Abraham is an international and the Blue Army wouldn’t want to see a top target get away.

In addition, the gaffer stated why he is happy with the east Midlands side: the state-of-the-art training ground, a positive relationship with the owners and players, along with the project being unfinished.
