Leicester City and their previous opponents, Crystal Palace, engaged in some admirable sportsmanship. Meanwhile, a Fox is in WhoScored’s Team of the Week.

If you lost all faith in football before the ridiculous European Super League was scrapped, I hear ya. But thankfully there have been some wonderful moments of solidarity, care and unity since then. One example is the ‘captain’s agreement’ between Palace and Leicester before the game on Monday.

Wesley Fofana was allowed to take on fluids mid-game thanks to the opposition goalkeeper awaiting his goal kick. Fofana is a Muslim and is currently fasting for Ramadan, as per BBC Sport. Respect and sportsmanlike behaviour.

TRANSFER RUMOURS. . light

Kelechi Iheanacho, Leicester City star

I am not even joking at all when I say that the Foxes progressing to the FA Cup final has not really sank in yet, for me anyway. Maybe it is due to the particularly strange season we’re all witnessing. Although, I’m thinking the undying focus from supporters, players and club staff about qualifying for the Champions League is clearly the paramount aim. Though a maiden cup final win in that competition is so dearly coveted by the Blue Army.

One man who’s been in thrilling form in the FA tournament all season, is Kelechi Iheanacho. Nigeria’s striker is also now becoming a Premier League star, with his displays in the English top-flight taking off since new year, especially. This week the vastly improving forward – he only needed a run of starts to make his name, evidently – has been selected for the WhoScored Team of the Week.

Iheanacho’s winner versus the Eagles wasn’t merely his 10th league finish of the campaign, it was also one of his most scintillating. In that instance, the player went from cult Fox to full-blown EPL star.
