Leicester City man Hamza Choudhury is up for sale

It appears as if Hamza Choudhury could be on his way out of the Foxes squad after never being able to get into the team on any kind of regular basis. He was always one of the standout performers from his class in the Leicester City Football Club academy, though the prowess of Wilfred Ndidi, along with exceptional cameos from Papy Mendy seem to have ended Choudhury’s chance of breaking into Brendan Rodgers’ long-term plans.

In fact, the King Power Outfit put the midfielder up for sale during this past January transfer window; a move to Newcastle United broke down as Leicester’s injury problems mounted with Belgian Dennis Praet the latest to be added to the list of unavailable men at that time. His inability to match what a player like Praet can do offensively doesn’t bode in Choudhury’s favour, as the abundance of defensive-minded players in the middle will surely be addressed.

A possibly unwanted aspect of Choudhury’s persona on family-friendly Filbert Way could be that he has been punished by the club twice in 15 months for increasingly unadvisable incidents. Firstly he and ex-teammate Ben Chilwell missed training at the turn of 2020 under mysterious circumstances. Secondly, and more worryingly, the England Under-21 international attended a party at Ayoze Perez’s home whilst the country was under lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. Telegraph states that the 23 year old Fox is still available for other clubs to sign.
