Leicester: Fox set to leave with bid already made and rivals battling
According to several reports, a Leicester City player is set to leave the Foxes and a bid has apparently already been made for him.
On loan Leicester personnel often seem to do quite well on their temporary placements. Maybe it is because the King Power outfit is such a great club to play for so they are desperate to return? Don’t be surprised to see the much-lauded Leicester starlet Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall be added to senior proceedings next season, for example.
Anyway, Foxes of Leicester will now bring you rumours surrounding forgotten man Rachid Ghezzal, a winger who’s been exceptional whilst playing in Turkey. Yet his contract expires in 2022, and there is a lot of talk of his services being wanted by a couple of Turkish sides.
During 2020/21, while playing for Besiktas, the Algerian wideman produced a stunning total: seven goals, as well as 17 assists in 33 appearances. That tally helped ensure Kara Kartallar – the Black Eagles – remain atop of the Super Lig.
Ghezzal was never really afforded a successive run in the LCFC starting team; though he gave quite a few underwhelming displays when given a chance to feature. Nevertheless, FoL feels that he is a winger who could achieve in the English Premier League, though maybe it is best for both parties if the Algeria international departs Filbert Way permanently.
Supposed interest for Leicester City winger
Without doubt the Blue Army will not be surprised or particularly bothered when Ghezzal leaves, to give you a very frank assessment.
Meanwhile, an element that would prospectively lead to a price hike is the story that rivals Besiktas and Fenerbahce are supposedly ready to do battle for the 29-year-old’s signature.
Sport Witness carries a report stating the two clubs from Turkey both want Ghezzal; however, only Fener are said to have made an opening offer for the former Lyon star.
