A Leicester City star apparently is close to signing a new Foxes contract. Yet many clubs are said to be interested in signing Youri Tielemans.

The more astute talk around Leicester City’s eventual European qualification concerns signings and retaining players, with regards to the different implications of prospective Europa League or Champions League entry.

Naturally that outcome remains to be seen, as Sunday sees the Premier League’s gameweek 38 decider. Obviously there could be a drastically different Leicester in 2021/22 depending on which competition the Foxes qualify for.

Youri Tielemans set to begin Leicester City contract negotiations

According to transfer czar Fabrizio Romano, FA Cup hero for the King Power side, Tielemans, is first in the queue for a new Leicester deal. And that especially stands if they are with the east Midlanders, as LCFC are wrongly seen as a small outfit by some rivals.

Romano briefly, and essentially, says Tielemans is about to negotiate a new contract when the 2020/21 campaign ends.

Leicester’s midfield dynamo’s current deal expires in 2023; LCFC are knowing to extend the stay of stars and wanted understudies around one year before the agreements run out, so Tielemans is in line in that respect.

Furthermore, Romano tweeted that Boubakary Soumare will join the Foxes, along with a fresh left-back.
