Are Liverpool and Barcelona really trying to sign Leicester star?

If reports are to be believed, footballing superpowers Liverpool and Barcelona will do battle to sign Leicester City star Youri Tielemans in the summer.

On Friday, Tielemans was named Leicester City Football Club’s Player of the Season – which is voted for by supporters of the Foxes, the Blue Army – along with winning the great accolade of Players’ Player of the Season.

What a phenomenal campaign for the wonderfully talented Belgian star who scored the winner against huge Premier League side Chelsea in the FA Cup final. And LCFC fans would have been further pleased on the day after images of the 24-year-old showed a delighted player.

Why the Leicester faithful are so happy to see Tielemans lifting trophies, is because otherwise it may be difficult to keep the world-class midfielder. European competition, specifically the Champions League, is the other element which obviously keeps the player’s mind on King Power.

The former AS Monaco man recently said how content he is on Filbert Way; before the cup triumph, though following the state-of-the-art training complex being opened, he also declared LCFC a great club to be at. Yet transfer gossip continues to surround Tielemans.

Are Liverpool, Barcelona hunting Leicester City man?

Are superpower teams such as Liverpool and Barcelona eyeing potential moves for Tielemans? Foxes of Leicester certainly sees this as feasible, if futile, and dependant on UCL entry. Leicester are also reportedly preparing a new contract offer.

Trustworthy outlet, Express, carries a story from an Italian news publication suggesting the Reds’ and Barca’s interest. In addition, they claim the east Midlanders are unlikely to “entertain” bids for their asset.
