Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has made a statement on his Foxes future which will certainly delight the Blue Army.

If you happen to be a Leicester supporter who is unhappy with Rodgers as boss of LCFC, then you seriously need to reassess your football expectations and entitlement. Especially as you are thereby a part of a fan base which isn’t one of the larger ones; essentially the club is over-performing and we are lucky to be in the Blue Army at present.

Rant over. Sorry. But there are some very unappreciative Leicester ‘fans’ on social media at present – apologies to Twitter, but, you know! – who don’t appreciate quite how well the King Power outfit is run from top to bottom. Yes, I agree that some of the players let themselves down and even bottled Champions League entry. Yet with regards to staff and the squad as a whole, we can challenge – as you have witnessed by the fantastic FA Cup triumph.

Brendan Rodgers makes an encouraging statement ahead of next season

On the other side of the fence, there are some very thoughtful and measured Foxes; the majority are pleased, even overjoyed with the side’s evolution on and off the field. And if you are someone who is worried about the Northern Irishman being poached by another outfit such as Tottenham Hotspur, you can rest assured.

Following the disastrous outcome versus Spurs, Rodgers spoke of his commitment to the job with the east Midlands team:

"“They (the City fans) need have no worries about myself.“I absolutely love it here at Leicester City, even more so now that we’ve just missed out. It motivates me even more to be here to help the club and push the club towards that level.“We’ll go away, reflect on a great season, we’ll plan and get ready to make an exciting season with us all back together again. That’s my message.”Via LCFC LLive"
