Leicester fans can relax as Tielemans is negotiating a new contract
According to part of a report, Leicester City fans can now relax as their favourite star Youri Tielemans is in talks for a new Foxes contract.
Fear not Leicester fans, as the media is reporting that Tielemans is negotiating with the Foxes for a fresh deal. It feels good to say that; does it feel good to hear? I think I know the answer to that question to be honest: the Belgian scored the FA Cup Final winner along with being named LCFC Player of the Season following a stellar campaign of very consistently impressive displays.
Leicestershire Live implied ‘starman’ Tielemans may not be leaving, judging by this statement:
"The Belgian midfielder is in contract talks with City, who hope to add more years to his current deal, which is due to expire in two years’ time.Tielemans has previously expressed his happiness at City, and has said he believes he can fulfil his career ambitions with the club.– Chris Watson, Leicester Mercury"
Naturally this doesn’t mean the player will definitely stay on Filbert Way, but it is certainly very promising.
Assessing the Leicester City news and rumour mill
With the domestic off-season truly now underway, frankly there is not much to bring to the Leicester faithful’s attention. Obviously we have the Euro2020 international tournament to look forward to, with a few Foxes involved. Yet presently, before any switches are confirmed, transfer speculation and ‘nearly done deals’ are the best Foxes of Leicester has for you.
To reiterate, capturing the trio of Boubakary Soumare, Ryan Bertrand and Odsonne Edouard is the intention and increasing likely nearing outcome if fairly reputable sources are combined and to be taken on face value.
Soumare of Lille joining Leicester is a mere formality, we are all told. Former Southampton man, Bertrand, or his representatives are said to be talking to LCFC Recruitment about a move. While Edouard, the Celtic striker, is also currently undertaking negotiations with the east Midlanders, apparently.
