Surely the vast majority of Leicester City’s fan base are more than happy with Brendan Rodgers being at the helm of the club. But what do the players think?

Let’s be honest, Rodgers was mightily close to securing Liverpool an initial Premier League title in 2013/14. He would have then become a legend of the Merseyside club and gone into the Hall of Fame of English top-flight football. However, it wasn’t meant to be; now the Reds’ and Celtic’s loss is most certainly the Foxes’ gain.

And whilst again being candid with the readers, I’d be saying the Northern Irishman was perfect for the east Midlands team even if LCFC had failed to secure the FA Cup trophy. That amazing achievement still hasn’t sunk in for this delighted Leicester fan, personally, as it has been such a coveted title which completes the domestic set on Filbert Way, along with the League Cup and Premier League triumphs.

If, and unfortunately that is a big if, Rodgers stays for a few more years making a decent tenure or enjoys longevity at LCFC, there is surely even more glory to come. A very solid foundation is definitely being laid, at least; while another hugely significant Rodgers-factor is the fact that he will attract a better quality of talent than say a Claude Puel type, or the inexperienced yet enthusiastic EPL boss like Craig Shakespeare.

Why Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers is so respected

Speaking of players in contact with Rodgers, Wilfred Ndidi has divulged insight into the manager’s relationship with the squad, of his persona and influence:
