Leicester: Fabrizio Romano makes two Foxes transfer claims
Famed transfer specialist and Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, has made two claims about Leicester City business concerning Odsonne Edouard and Boubakary Soumare.
Although there have been no signings yet for Leicester, there is no need for fans to worry: Fabrizio Romano provided an update on upcoming, incoming events for the Foxes on Monday. And it is good news!
According to the highly respected Romano, the Foxes are in advanced talks to capture the signature of Celtic centre-forward Odsonne Edouard. Edouard will be an interesting fit for the east Midlands team, as Kelechi Iheanacho finally fulfills potential and Jamie Vardy still the go-to-guy for LCFC.
In addition to the Edouard news, Leicester are said to have completed the Boubakary Soumare switch, presumably only confirmation from the club is needed. They will have the usual fanfare of pictures and questionable, possible ‘humorous’ ‘professional’ video editing in process. Whatever happened to a photograph of a manager with the player holding the side’s shirt, eh?! Anyway, plenty to be excited about for the faithful.
Leicester City: Youri Tielemans talk
Elsewhere, another Italian reporter has suggested that Foxes superstar Youri Tielemans is also in what is describe as “advanced talks” with his representation and LCFC over a contract extension. Obviously the King Power outfit want to keep the Belgian on Filbert Way for as long as possible; extending the 23-year-old’s current deal has been speculated about for ages, well, since the last time he re-signed. If Nicolo Schira’s social media post is to be believed, the midfielder may sign on for a few extra years.
Tielemans has risen to the level of superstar, certainly for Leicester, or in the Blue Army’s collective eyes, due to a stunning season which was capped off by a rocket of a finish in the FA Cup final. A feat that helped Brendan Rodgers’ team lift the coveted English trophy.
