Leicester transfers: Foxes reject bid for unwanted player
Foxes of Leicester has apparent Leicester City transfer news for you, as it is reported that the Foxes rejected a bid for unwanted player Rachid Ghezzal.
Unfortunately for the people who don’t enjoy hearsay and talk on possible moves between clubs, it is June 9 and the transfer window is now open. And it does not shut until August 31, so it’s basically through until September. Wow. Nearly three months of it – exasperating!
But there is a more positive, better way of approaching this off-season period: just think how incredible a squad Leicester will have if, or when, they sign Odsonne Edouard from Celtic, Lille’s Boubakary Soumare and, possibly, a talented centre-back and right-wing extraordinaire. We can only dream, eh?
Surely that hypothetical roster, if buoyed by the retaining of all stars such as Youri Tielemans, will finally secure an elusive Champions League place. Something that has been missing since 2016/17 when the Foxes made the UCL quarter-finals.
One player who’ll likely be gone from Filbert Way in 2021/22 is Rachid Ghezzal. Following a succession of loan spells, the Algerian is expected to depart permanently. Although the King Power side is said to have rejected a bid for the wideman:
"Leicester City have turned down a €10m offer from an unnamed Italian club for Rachid Ghezzal, who spent the 2020/21 season on loan with Turkish giants Besiktas, according to Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur.Via Inside Futbol"
