Leicester City are set to announce their second signing of 2021 following Patson Daka’s switch to the King Power team on Wednesday.

According to a report, the Foxes’ second signing of the summer transfer window will not be the person expected. While Ryan Bertrand is thought to be one of the additions to Brendan Rodgers’ side before the upcoming season begins, he was anticipated to be subsequent to Boubakary Soumare being confirmed as a Fox.

But Football Insider suggests the former Southampton defender, available for free as his Saints contract has now expired, will be the followup transfer to Patson Daka. The Zambian was, of course, announced on Wednesday to the delight of the already adoring Blue Army.

FI insists personal terms have been agreed between Leicester and their potentially fresh left-back; the ex-England international will join the Rodgers project on a two-year deal. Furthermore, LCFC supposedly beat Arsenal in the pursuit of Bertrand.

Leicester’s Northern Irish manager is said to be a fan of Bertrand’s work; Foxes of Leicester certainly thinks the Englishman is a fine addition to the squad, especially for zero cash. At 31-years-old and having played for a very decent national outfit previously, Bertrand’s experience is vital; Christian Fuchs’ departure illuminates that point even more.

Leicester City’s third potential signing

In spite of the defender being ready to sign, Foxes supporters need not worry about Soumare: as said by such trustworthy sources such as Italian reporter and transfer specialist, Fabrizio Romano, the capture of the Frenchman is complete. Though the move is yet to be announced.

Romano claimed the France Under-21 man is set to become a Fox as well as Daka last week. It appears to be only a matter of time, or days, until the Foxes make the midfielder’s switch official.
