Leicester City have reportedly been tracking Domenico Berardi and are now in the chase to sign the Italy star, along with AC Milan.

As the Foxes apparently step up their interest in Berardi, some outlets are predicting that – typically for us in the Blue Army to hear – Leicester have finally found their legitimate replacement for Mahrez.

While I hope the King Power side eventually find the correct person to replicate Mahrez’s output, I’m not sure they’ll even acquire Berardi. He is said to be valued at €40million and we know every outfit suffered financially due to the pandemic. From the small amount of him I have seen, the Italian is a bit of a way off the Manchester City man’s refined quality despite being a great work in progress.

However, LCFC are in the race for the winger and have already enquired for more information from his team, Sassuolo. That is according to Italian reports carried by Sports Witness.

New Leicester City man makes endearing Foxes comment

New Leicester player Patson Daka has praised one of the biggest legends and current star at LCFC, Jamie Vardy. Daka signed on Wednesday as the initial capture of 2021, not just for the off-season but the year. He’s a prolific striker who’s been plying trade with RB Salzburg of Austria. Even though his prowess was witnessed in the lesser known Bundesliga, there is encouragement as Erling Haaland made his name at that club.

Daka said he’s privileged to be directly learning from a player such as Vardy; the Zambian footballer also divulged the fact that he’s been “following” Leicester since their miraculous Premier League title win in the 2015/16. The 22-year-old then added this:
