There is talk of major clubs are eyeing up transfers for Leicester City stars Harvey Barnes and Wilfred Ndidi – will the Foxes sell them?

Let’s be honest, losing either Barnes or Ndidi would be a real shame for Leicester; if both left the side it could spell disaster for the east Midlanders. I can’t see the latter, hypothetical scenario occurring – but you never know!

While the Foxes did shed their selling club moniker, they still relinquish a star player each season since evolving into a top six outfit. Therefore it is quite possible that one or the other could be sold; although, only a ridiculously high bid – literally, judging by previous recent sales – would secure acceptance from King Power hierarchy.

According to reports, Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in acquiring the central midfield man, as per LCFC Live. Whilst the wingman is the subject of “big admirers” at Liverpool; Goal suggests Barnes is on the Reds’ transfer wishlist. However, the publication also says that an offer won’t transpire this off-season due to LCFC’s high valuation.

Another element which certainly bodes well for LCFC’s chances of retaining two of their stars is the fact that neither Ndidi nor Barnes are are featuring at Euro2020 and consequently are not generating a buzz, such as some countries’ prominent and even lesser know players have. That is despite LCFC naturally wanting all of their assets playing international football for several reasons.

Obviously Ndidi isn’t actually from Europe, though the Foxes may lose him for some time with Nigeria when the African Cup of Nations begins in January and lasts through February. Barnes, on the other hand, might have been with Gareth Southgate’s England team if he hadn’t sustained a season ending injury in April. The Leicester City Academy graduate was enjoying his most standout English top-flight campaign before the problem.
